About Us
Katie’s Bakes got its start 8 years ago as a side hustle during the holidays. A friend needed to pay for her education. In order to raise some money we made pies for Thanksgiving. We raised almost half of the money with that first fundraiser. For Christmas I thought we should do something a bit different. Generally I’m a very creative cook never following the same recipe twice. So, I spent two weeks experimenting and trying to figure out exact measurements and a roll recipe I would be proud of selling. The same classic cinnamon and orange roll recipe used today was a result of that first year. In February 2024, I decided that it was time to go full time with Katie’s Bakes.
